We’ll start with a shared conversation about love,and about the different ways we speak and think about it.
Join our Yiddish Shmueskrayz on Zoom!
The League for Yiddish shmueskrayz will be led by Eli Benedict. We’ll start with a shared conversation about love, and about the different ways we speak and think about it. We’ll talk about words of love such as kissing and hugging. We’ll read poems and expressions about love together, and then invite everyone to use their Yiddish and share something connected to love and loving. You’re warmly invited to speak about experiences you’ve had with love, or simply to talk about something you love.
Everyone will have the opportunity to speak and to shmooze in Yiddish in a warm, open, and friendly atmosphere.
This shmueskrayz is ideal for:
– those who have taken at least one Yiddish course and want to strengthen their speaking skills,
– or fluent / near-fluent speakers who want to meet others and enjoy a Yiddish conversation space.
