Shifra Lowen grew up in a Hasidic family, married, and raised a family in Kiryas Tosh. During her time there, she passionately engaged in writing and composing Yiddish songs, crafting songs for girls' camps and schools, and even for music discs featuring male vocalists. However, her life took a new turn when she decided to leave her community. Today, she resides in Montreal with her entire family.
